Tech events tend to settle into two modes: someone presenting from a stage, or attendees making small talk in a hallway. Both have their place, but neither leaves much room for the kind of unscripted, in-the-moment thinking that often produces the best ideas in our practice.

Undefined is an experiment in changing that. It’s a format built for tech events that asks participants to step into something more active, treating the room as a shared improvisation rather than a one-way broadcast. The project sits within the broader Design Systems House ecosystem of community work, alongside efforts like Mise en Mode and Wireframe, and continues the thread of looking for new ways to gather people around the practice.
